The Grammys Will Not Give Drake Any Awards For 'More Life' -- Here's Why

Drake won't be taking home any awards for his More Life album.

According to Associated PressDrizzy didn't enter his project for any Grammy consideration this year. The star didn't even submit any songs from the album for individual categories such as Song of the Year or Record of the Year. This is pretty shocking considering the fact that every single song on More Life charted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart when the album dropped -- that's all 24 of them!

Even though it was announced as a "playlist," More Life was still packaged as an album. It was so loved by Drake's fans that it debuted at the No. 1 position on the Billboard 200 charts.

At the 2017 Grammys, the recording artist was a no-show, though he won in the categories of Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for his single “Hotline Bling.” But, Drake later admitted that he didn't even want these awards.

“Even though ‘Hotline Bling’ is not a rap song, the only category they can manage to fit me in is a rap category,” he said in a radio interview, back in February. “Maybe because I’ve rapped in the past or because I’m black, I can’t figure out why. I won two awards last night, but I don’t even want them, because it just feels weird for some reason.”
