Eminem Donates 'Mom's Spaghetti' To Detroit Healthcare Workers

Eminem has turned to his mega-hit, "Lose Yourself," to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier this week, the rapper sent medical workers in his hometown of Detroit some Shady-branded tubs of Mom’s Spaghetti to show his appreciate. As you know, "mom's spaghetti" is one of the famed reference points from his 2002 Oscar-winning hit, which was the soundtrack anthem to his film, 8 Mile. Detroit's Henry Ford Health System took to Instagram on Tuesday (April 21) to share a photo of the tubs of pasta donated by the rapper, his Shady Records label and his Marshall Mathers Foundation.

"Our #HealthcareHeroes “lost themselves” in the delicious Mom’s Spaghetti donated by Detroit’s very own, @eminem. Thank you for providing a special meal for our team members! 🍝," the caption read. Deliveries were also made to workers at Detroit Receiving Hospital, with 400 meals reportedly served between the two facilities. Em's branded Mom's Spaghetti was cooked by restaurant New Union Joints and will reportedly continue over the next few weeks once the restaurant gets the necessary staff to carry out the orders, as per Em's manager, Paul Rosenberg.

Additionally, Tuesday marked a special milestone for the rap titan as he celebrated his 12th year of sobriety. "Clean dozen, in the books!" he captioned a photo of his 12-year chip, adding, "I'm not afraid."
