Diddy is still very much in love with Cassie. Despite having called it quits recently, the 48-year-old hip-hop mogul wants the world to know his ex is still the lady of his life, and he professed his affection for the “Me & U” artist on Instagram Friday (October 26), with the sweetest message, courtesy of Michael Jackson.
“If anyone sees Cassie this weekend please tell her to listen to this song 100 times,” Diddy wrote, along with a screenshot of Jackson’s romantic deep cut, “The Lady in My Life.” The ballad, which appears on the King of Pop’s iconic Thriller album, tells of Jackson's desire for a second shot with a former flame.
As previously reported, the hip-hop couple parted ways after nearly 11 years as an item just last week. Celebrity gossip blog Love B Scott was the first to report the breakup, as a source close to the 32-year-old songstress confirmed, “They are indeed no longer together and haven’t been in months.”
In light of the news of their split, it was alleged Diddy had already moved on with a 26-year-old model named Jocelyn Chew, with whom he whisked to Miami and a Drake concert in Los Angeles days before the announcement.
Cassie hasn't bothered to address the situation, save for the somewhat subliminal post she shared on social media after the reports broke, writing, "F**k these hoes" on her Instagram Story. She’s moving on nonetheless, having unfollowed nearly everyone on Instagram and offered a snippet of a new track with the hashtag “#Hungover.”
