Kanye West and Chance the Rapper Honor Michael Jackson in the Studio

On Wednesday (August 29), Michael Jackson would have turned 60 years old. To pay homage to the King of Pop, Kanye West and Chance the Rapper created some samples using The Jackson 5's 1971 hit "Never Can Say Goodbye" during a recent studio visit. The 41-year-old rapper documented the tribute on Twitter.

"We had to chop this up for Michaelā€™s birthday," Yeezy wrote alongside a video of him and Chano bobbing their heads and feeling the beat as he plays around with the song.

Kanye has spent the week back in his hometown of Chicago specifically to help produce Chance's upcoming album. Check out the tweet below.

Ye has also spent his time at home giving honest interviews with local radio stations. During a chat with 107.5 WGCI, the rapper gave a heartfelt apology about the controversial slavery comments he made earlier this year while visiting TMZ.

"I dont know if I properly apologized for how that slave comment made people feel so I want to take this moment to say I'm sorry for hurting, I'm sorry for the one-two effect of the MAGA hat into the slave comment and I'm sorry for people who feel let down for that movement and I also appreciate you guys for giving me to opportunity to talk to you," Kanye said. "The one thing I got from the TMZ comment is how much Black people love me."
