Jay-Z Raps About XXXTentacion's Death on Drake's 'Talk Up'

Drake dropped his highly anticipated two-part album Scorpion Friday (June 29) and the internet's been dissecting it to no end. In the track "Emotionless" the Canadian rapper confirms that he does, in fact, have a child. And in the Jay-Z assisted "Talk Up," Hova addresses another topic that's been on everybody's minds lately: XXXTentacion's death.

“I got your president tweeting/I won't even met with him/Y'all killed X and let Zimmerman live/Streets is done,” Jay raps in the song's third verse.

The 20-year-old rapper was shot and killed in his car on June 18 while shopping for motorcycles. Jay also refers to George Zimmerman, the man who gunned down unarmed black teen Trayvon Martin in 2012 and was found not guilty of second-degree murder and manslaughter the following year. Jay has been a supporter of the Martin family and used his platform to shed light on the case, comparing Trayvon to greats like Martin Luther King, Jr and Mahatma Ghandi who lost their lives in order to push culture forward.

On Thursday (June 28), X's team released the video for his breakout single "SAD!" The late rapper wrote and creative directed the eerie six-minute-long clip, which shows him attending his own funeral and plays out more like a short film than a music video.
