Lost Suitcase Reunited With Owner Thanks To Viral Facebook Post

A South Carolina police officer lost a red suitcase when it fell off his car around Christmas day. The suitcase, which was filled with clothing of a young girl, was found by Nick Arditi in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. Arditi posted a photo of the suitcase to Facebook and it quickly went viral.

According to WTOL, the post was 468,660 times and had over 22,000 reactions. After a few weeks of being shared around the world, Arditi was finally able to track down the owners.

Once he contacted the owners and returned the suitcase he posted a photo of the two families standing around the red rolling suitcase adding that "the girls were very grateful to have their items back:"

OWNER FOUND OWNER FOUND!!!OWNER FOUND!!!! 4:30pm 1/4 The suitcase belongs to a South Carolina police officer and his family!! The suitcase has been reunited with them .... When Arditi found the suitcase, he knew he had to do something because it was "as full as can be" with clothes for a young girl. Some of the clothes were brand new, and even had the tags on them.

In the end, he is just glad he was able to help, and can get back to his normal life after admitting the missing suitcase "consumed my life."
