Blackpink's 'How You Like That' Just Scored 3 Guinness World Records

Blackpink took home three Guinness world records, so how you like that?

On Tuesday (June 30), Guinness World Records announced that the South Korean girl group made history with the music video release of their new song “How You Like That.” Since it premiered with 86.3 million views on June 26, the visual has set three outstanding records, including the most-viewed YouTube video in 24 hours, the most-viewed music video on YouTube in 24 hours, and the most-viewed music video on YouTube in 24 hours by a K-pop act.

To put things into perspective, Blackpink only falls second to Paramount Pictures’ Rings Prank video (200 million) and blows past BTS’ “Boy with Luv” (ft. Halsey) with the most-viewed video in the first 24 hours across all various online video platforms.

This isn’t all Jisoo, Jennie, Rose and Lisa accomplished with their visual for “How You Like That.” In its debut, the video had the biggest YouTube premiere of all-time with 1.65 million viewers tuning in for the clip, besting fellow K-pop sensations BTS’ previous record at 1.54 million views when they dropped the visual for “On” in February.

“How You Like That,” written by Teddy and Danny Chung, marks the girl group’s first music offering since unveiling their Kill This Love EP, which peaked at the No. 24 spot on the Billboard 200. It’s also the first record to appear on the K-pop quartet’s forthcoming studio album following the release of their Lady Gagaduet “Sour Candy.”
