Parker McCollum and Brittney Spencer hit the stage at the 2024 CMT Awards for a fiery performance of their first collaboration "Burn It Down," a track that was also recognized as being one of the biggest songs in country music today.

McCollum kicked off the performance on stage singing about a love that burned bright and left behind the smoldering ruins of the home they had created. As the band continued to play, Spencer strutted out on stage in a red velvet jumpsuit as the duo exclaimed they want to burn down "every last song that I wrote about me and you growing old/ every sliver of hope, everything I know/ pile it up right now."

The passion continued to grow throughout the performance, even taking "Burn It Down" literally as flames lined the stage, before ending the performance with an epic stare down between McCollum and Spencer.

Not only was this Spencer's first appearance on the CMT main stage, she was also up for her first CMT Music Awards nomination for Breakthrough Female Video of the Year for her track "Bigger Than The Song." Recently, she has received praise for her participation on Beyoncé's newest album COWBOY CARTER, joining Bey's beautiful take on the Beatles classic "Blackbird."

McCollum is also entering an exciting chapter of his life as he and his wife, Hallie, are expecting their first child together. They recently shared in a gender reveal they are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their baby boy, sweetly saying they love their "little cowboy."
