Netflix Scrubs Shia LaBeouf From Promo For Netflix Film 'Pieces Of A Woman'

Shia LaBeouf's cancellation continues amid the lawsuit from his former flame, FKA twigs.

LaBeouf has a role in the Oscar frontrunner, Pieces of a Woman, which hits the streaming platform on Thursday (January 7), but he's nowhere to be found in promotional tweets for the project. As noted by Page Six, Netflix has removed him from the actual ads endorsing the film, which also stars Vanessa Kirby and Ellen Burstyn. Pieces of a Woman sees LaBeouf play a grieving father who has to deal with the aftermath of his daughter's death, as well as his crumbling marriage.

In one ad on Twitter, promoted by the Netflix Film account, the message reads: "Vanessa Kirby and Ellen Burstyn star in Pieces of a Woman, a story about a mother’s love and loss. On Netflix January 7."

In December, Variety reported that the actor was seeking inpatient treatment and allegedly axed from Olivia Wilde's upcoming film, Don’t Worry Darling, due to his behavior. Previous reports suggested he exited the film because of scheduling conflicts. "Shia needs help and he knows that," LaBeouf's attorney Shawn Holley told the industry news outlet. "We are actively seeking the kind of meaningful, intensive, long-term inpatient treatment that he desperately needs."

According to twigs’ lawsuit, LaBeouf hurts women. "He uses them. He abuses them, both physically and mentally. He is dangerous," the suit detailed. Responding to the filing in an e-mail to The New York Times, the actor said he was "not in any position to tell anyone how my behavior made them feel." "I have no excuses for my alcoholism or aggression, only rationalizations. I have been abusive to myself and everyone around me for years. I have a history of hurting the people closest to me," he continued. "I'm ashamed of that history and am sorry to those I hurt. There is nothing else I can really say."
