10 May-December Celebrity Couples Who Prove Age Is Just A Number

When it comes to celebrities, they are known to have the crème de la crème when it comes to choosing a partner either inside or outside of Hollywood. While some stars prefer to stick with someone similar to their age, others have dated people old enough to be their parents.

Whether these May-December relationships are relatively new, or have stood the test of time, they have proven age is just a number.

Here are 10 celebrity couples who have the biggest age gaps.

1. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds - 11 years

While Blake Lively, 30, and Ryan Reynolds, 41, first met while filming Green Lantern in 2010, the pair didn't officially start dating until the year after. They wed in 2012 and have two daughters, James and Ines.

2. Beyonce and Jay-Z - 12 years

Beyonceé, 36, and Jay-Z, 48, began dating in 2001, before tying the knot in 2008. The couple combined their last names to Knowles-Carter, and have three children together, Blue Ivy, Rumi and Sir. Despite Jay-Z admitting to cheating to cheating on his wife, they are said to be stronger than ever.

3. Hugh Jackman and Deborra Lee-Furness - 13 years

Hugh Jackman, 49, met Deborra Lee-Furness, 62, on the set of Australian TV show Correlli, and wed in 1996. After suffering two miscarriages, the couple adopted their two children, Oscar and Ava.

4. Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi - 15 years

Ellen DeGeneres, 59, began dating Portia de Rossi, 44, in 2004, and wed in 2008 when California overturned its ban on same-sex marriage. In 2010, Portia legally changed her last name from de Rossi to DeGeneres.

5. George and Amal Clooney - 17 years

George Clooney, 56, was first introduced to international human-rights lawyer Amal (née Alamuddin), 39, in 2013 when they were both invited to a dinner party hosted by a mutual friend. The pair wed in Italy in 2014 and welcomed twins, Ella and Alexander, earlier this year.
