Roy Head, the native Texan pop star who’s song “Treat Her Right” hit the top 5 in 1965, passed away Monday at the age of 79.
The success of “Treat Her Right” landed Roy Head on several TV shows including Shindig, American Bandstand and Where The Action Is.
Roy’s son, Jason "Sundance" Head, broke the news on his Facebook page -- calling his father "an amazing person and a wonderful dad," Roy "slept away in the arms of my mother at home. I am in shock and also confused. He was a giant to me."
