Recently, it seems baby monitors have been showing more images of ghosts than of babies. That's what one mom from North Carolina was certain was happening with hers. Leila Livingston's kids were watching The Lion King as she got ready in her bedroom. She'd occasionally glance down at the monitor and everything looked fine in the living room, but after a bit, she checked the monitor and saw a strange, dark-haired woman sitting near her children, staring at them.

Livingston told Today Parents, "My heart just dropped." She explained how she ran downstairs to get her kids but the woman was gone. Leila said, "It was like she just disappeared. And my kids were totally calm and watching The Lion King."

Livingston called her mom to report what just happened and that's when she realized that she hadn't been looking at a live stream from the camera, rather it was a clip from earlier. Leila shared what happened on Facebook, writing, "It was me. I was the ghost on the couch." It was a simple mistake since her hair is blonde and she was wearing a black shirt that day - clearly the colors got distorted. But after she posted about it on Facebook, people noticed something about the image that Leila had missed.

Y’all. This is the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced in my life. I was getting ready to go out with my husband. That...

They pointed out that it looks like a little boy has his arms around her. It moved Leila since, nine years ago, she lost a child. Livingston said that weird things also happen at her house, noting, "The water dispenser in my refrigerator will go off on its own. My cabinets will open and I'll shut them, and then I'll come back and they're open again."

She was touched by the presence of the ghost boy, stating, "When I first saw it, it took my breath away. I felt an instant peace that I think I've been missing for so long. Birthdays and holidays and new siblings, he should have been here for all of that. After seeing the picture, I know he is here and has been all along."
