Wendy Williams Bashes Fellow TV Hosts For 'Looking Disgusting'

Wendy Williams had some harsh words for her peers.

Due to the rapid outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in recent months, many television show hosts have been forced to make due with these circumstances by broadcasting from home — Williams being among them. Well, the Wendy Williams Show star had some unkind opinions to share about how her fellow hosts are presenting themselves on camera.

During an interview with CNN this week, Williams admitted she was “reluctant” about adjusting to filming remotely after watching her competitors hosting from home. Speaking of her competition, the 55-year-old bashed other hosts for “looking disgusting,” adding unabashedly, “I’m just saying.”

Despite her harsh criticism of her fellow hosts, Williams confessed she’s adjusting to a work-from-home environment herself.

“If it wasn’t for radio, I could not do this quarantine thing from home properly,” she explained. “I’ve so enjoyed this 11, going on 12, years of doing the talk show with the studio and hundreds of people and clapping and the immediate response. I’ve so enjoyed that, but it is much easier for me as a host to be here at home, with no audience, because it’s always been about description.”

Adding of her new filming schedule, Williams said while she has an entire production crew working alongside her, she’s been doing her own makeup herself. “I have the same person come over every single day. He’s on time. He flips the switches, he sits over there, away from me. We get it done,” she told the outlet. “Then my computer shows a whole gang of people from production. … We work so well as a team. I’m enjoying this process.”
