Vancouver Police Investigate Sexual Assault Burglaries

Vancouver Police are trying to identify a burglary suspect who enters apartments and sexually assaults women while they sleep.

On June 3, 2021 at approximately 3:45 a.m., Vancouver Police responded to a Burglary in the 13600 block of SE Eastridge Drive. An unknown male entered the female victim’s apartment through an unlocked/open door and groped her while she was sleeping. The victim screamed and the suspect fled. The suspect was not located. The victim was not physically injured.

On June 4, 202, at approximately 1:15 a.m., Vancouver Police responded to a Burglary in the 700 block of SE 139th Avenue. An unknown male entered the female victim’s apartment through an unlocked/open door, exposed himself and groped the victim. Second female in apartment and victim fight off suspect, who flees. The suspect was not located. Neither victim was physically injured.

Suspect in first incident described as a white male, 5’8”-5’11”, 150-180 pounds, brown hair.

Suspect in second incident described as male, 20’s, brown hair.

It is unknown if both incidents involve the same suspect. The Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes Team is investigating.

The Vancouver Police remind residents to lock and secure both ground level and upper level windows and doors, especially at night.
