This Woman's Tattoo Plays Her Late Grandmother's Voice

On Sakyrah Morris's birthday, her grandmother left her a voicemail, but sadly she died a month later. However, Morris is making sure her beloved relative lives on thanks to a new tattoo.

The Chicago teenager got a special sound wave tat that plays her grandmother's message when a smartphone camera hovers over it.

Sakyrah, a singer, was working on new music and watching the sound waves on a screen. It gave her the idea to get ink of her grandmother's voicemail. In researching the skin art, she came across a company called Skin Motion, which has an app that plays the audio of sound wave tattoos.

After her post about the tattoo went viral and Morris said, "I am extremely grateful to see how my grandmother’s voicemail has affected people all over the world. It is truly overwhelming, but I could not be happier with this experience. Her voice will forever be across my heart."
