Carole Baskin Reveals First 'DWTS' Song, And It's Purr-fect!

Carole Baskin’s first Dancing with the Stars song has been revealed!

On Thursday (September 10), the Tiger King star confirmed that she’ll be making her dancing debut on the show’s upcoming 29th season to the sounds of “Eye of the Tiger.” The song, originally performed by the rock band Survivor in 1982, couldn’t be more on-brand for the big cat lover, who is “very excited” to make her grand entrance when the show premieres next Monday (September 14).

"I was just approved yesterday to release that we are doing 'Eye of the Tiger,'" she told Entertainment Weekly of her first performance, which will be a paso doble.

"I'm very excited about that,” Baskin added. “I’m actually sitting outside of costuming right now and I gave them the instructions of no fur, no feathers, no leather, and anything else. I don't care how wild, so just have a blast. I can't wait to see what they come up with!"

The Big Cat Rescue founder, who admittedly hasn’t watched the show, said she’d been turning away media opportunities before her daughter convinced her to join DWTS. "'Mom, you got to do this,'" Baskin recalled her daughter telling her. "And so I contacted them and I thought what they would do to pair me with a star because I have never seen this show and didn't know how it worked."

The 59-year-old reality star, whose professional dancing partner has yet been revealed, will compete alongside previously-announced performers including AJ McLean, Kaitlyn Bristowe, Skai Jackson, Nelly, and others.

Season 29 of Dancing with the Stars will premiere Monday, September 14, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
