Chance the Rapper Makes a Cameo in Obama's New PSA

Chance the Rapper’s support for youth minorities is no secret. And he yet again proves his commitment to the community via a new PSA from Barack Obama.

Chance stars, along with NBA star Steph Curry, in a one-minute spot for Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper Initiative, which aims to support and encourage mentorship and opportunities for youth in minority communities.

The commercial features young men across the country watching and subsequently joining Obama as they gain confidence from his speech about empowerment and opportunity. The former president declares that “there’s not a single thing more important to the future of America than whether or not young people all across this country can achieve their dreams.”

Chance’s cameo comes toward the end of the video, as he watches the speech from his own phone while seated at a piano -- which is fitting, as he has specifically donated to the arts programs in public schools in Chicago.

Last year alone, he donated $1 million to Chicago’s public schools as part of his continued support for his hometown.

You can watch the spot above, and check out more of Chance’s nonprofit, and other ways to get involved, at socialworkschi.org.
