Mark Ruffalo Celebrates ’13 Going on 30′ Anniversary With Throwback Photo

Can you believe 13 Going on 30 came out 16 years ago? Mark Ruffalo celebrated the beloved rom-com's anniversary with a sweet throwback photo with co-star Jennifer Garner. Fans of the film will recognize the shot as one of the last scenes of the movie. Garner and Ruffalo can be seen sharing their characters' favorite candy—Razzles!

"Happy Anniversary to 13 Going on 30 today! Remember what the world was like when Razzles were all the rage? Missing that time," Ruffalo wrote on Instagram.

Despite many beloved shows and movies getting the revival and remake treatment these days, there are no plans for 13 Going on 30 to make a comeback. While the film's stars are still quite fond of their experience working on 13 Going on 30, as well as the finished project itself, this is one classic project that may well just remained untouched. Andy Serkis, who played editor Richard Kneeland in the movie, told Us Weekly he can't see the movie ever getting a sequel. “Definitely not. Once is plenty. It was really fun to work on,” he said back in November 2019. “I actually loved the film. I just have to kind of, sort of hold my head every time people say, ‘Can you do the ‘Thriller’ dance?’ I have to kind of go, ‘Oh, my God.’ But Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo’s relationship in that is absolutely gorgeous. I love that film!”

The closest thing fans will be getting to sequel is happening on TikTok. Christa B. Allen, who starred as Young Jenna Rink, has been recreating scenes from the film on the social media platform. So far, Allen has recreated the picture day scene, a talk she has with her mom about wanting to look like the models in her favorite magazines an the scene when she accidentally gets transported into her future life as 30-year-old Jenna.

Okay, time to go rewatch 13 Going on 30 ASAP.
