Mac Miller may be gone but he's certainly not forgotten.

To honor the later rapper, Lil Xan made him the face of his upcoming album, "Be Safe." The title also holds a special meaning to Xan, as "be safe" were the last words Mac told him before his untimely passing.

"'BE SAFE' FULL ARTWORK 💔 909 to the 412 ! This Album is for everyone and anyone you lost in life 💔," Xan captioned a photo of his album's artwork, which is a drawing of Mac holding an engraved tombstone. "AND ALSO BE SAFE IS FINALLY COMPLETED,I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE HAPPY AND FELT THIS GOOD ABOUT AN LP 💔 DEC 3RD."

Xan has previously called Mac one of the biggest musical influences in his life. Days after his death, the "Xanarchy" rapper spoke about what Mac meant to him.

"When your hero dies, f**k that sh*t, I don't want to make music no more," the "Betrayed" rapper said after saying he plans to retire once his contract is up. Xan additionally discussed his last words with Mac, which were made at one of the late rapper's last shows. "Before I left, he was like 'Be safe,'" Xan recalled. "People say that you know, like 'be safe.' But he grabbed me, and he pulled me back and he was like 'No I mean BE SAFE.' That almost made me cry, that's my idol right there." He added, "I keep thinking about that, how it resonated in my head, how those were his last words."

As previously reported, Mac was found dead in his San Fernando Valley home on September 7 after suffering an apparent overdose.
