Peter Weber's Mom Was A 'Major Issue' In Kelley Flanagan Relationship

Peter Weber and Kelley Flagan recently announced that they've called it quits. The pair found love after Peter's season of The Bachelor came to an end. Though Kelley was one of Peter's suitors on the show, he initially sent her home during week seven. When the show wrapped, however, they reconnected and began a relationship.

Peter initially announced his split from Kelley on New Year's Day, while Kelley waited a few days after their split to make a statement of her own. In a lengthy Instagram post, Kelley told her followers that she and and Peter were in "two different stages of our lives and saw our future paths differently." Earlier in the year, Kelley and Peter shared their plans to move to New York City together. In her post, Kelley said she's "still hoping to make it to New York one of these days."

Shortly after Peter and Kelly went public with their breakup, a source told Entertainment Tonight that Peter's mom, Barb, actually played a role in their split. "The move was the final straw in some ongoing issues in their relationship; the biggest of which was that they were not on the same page about how they approached relationships," the source began. "There was growth that needed to happen from Peter that wasn’t happening."

The source then explained that Barb was a "major issue" in the pair's relationship as she "was very involved and expected to be a major priority within Peter and Kelley’s relationship...she wanted to be Peter’s focus." Fans of The Bachelor will recall that Barb also played a big role in his relationships with Hannah Ann Sluss, who he proposed to in the season finale, and runner up Madison Prewett, who Peter briefly dated after his split from Hannah Ann.

Despite what happened behind the scenes of their relationship, it seems Peter and Kelley remain on good terms. Peter left a simple red heart emoji in the comments of Kelley's post about their breakup.
