Phone chucking: the dangerous act of fandom love leaving artists injured.
Such was the unfortunate case for Swae Lee, who bore the bloody brunt of a projectile when a crowdgoer hurled their cellphone at the rapper during Rae Sremmurd's recent Dallas show.
It all went down at Starplex Pavilion Sunday night (August 26) when an overzealous fan thought it prudent to fling her mobile device onstage in hopes of getting a picture from the 23-year-old. What resulted instead was Swae's lip getting busted, leaving him in a bleeding, swollen mess ā and he told gave the woman a piece of his mind over the (accidental?) assault.

In the clip, the wounded performer can be heard berating the audience member, almost to the point of exposing her identity until the venue's staff interfere. Noticing how livid he was, bandmate Slim Jxmmi also intervened and physically restrained his brother from going off the deep end.
After the show, the "No Flex Zone" star continued his tirade on Twitter: "My lip is f***ed up this dumb a** girl through [sic] her phone on stage like a baseball. Y'all gotta have more common sense than that my shit is f***ed might miss a few days of tour."
Still ticked off, he later detailed his wounds via a series of Instagram videos ā and let's just say it isn't pretty, folks. "I ain't never thought I would have to sue a fan. I'm suing," he says in one clip showing off his bruises, before another pans to the artist being treated at a hospital.
Luckily, Swae's all patched up and ready to party again. He updated fans hours on social media hours later, saying, "Stitches are in! I'm a rockstar I'm still going up in DALLAS TONIGHT!!"
It's unclear whether Swae really will press charges against the woman in question, though we wouldn't blame him.
