Sisqo Performed "Thong Song" at His Own Wedding Reception

Back in 1999, Sisqo wrote a true love song dedicated to a certain women's clothing item.

Now, nearly 20 years later, the R&B singer is dedicating it to the only thong he'll be seeing for the rest of his life ā€” in private, anyway. On Friday (August 17), the '90s hitmaker made it official with his longtime partner and mother of his children Elizabeth Pham. The couple got married in St. Paul, Minnesota, and Sisqo, the gentleman that he is, reportedly performed his scandalous hit "Thong Song" at the reception, choreography and all.

Minneapolis reporter and anchor Delane Cleveland went to high school with the bride and attended the wedding, which made for some pretty great tweets.

"I took the day off work today to go to Sisqoā€™s wedding. (File this under the category of ā€œthings I never thought Iā€™d say in my lifeā€)," he posted before dropping the bombshell: "I can report that Sisqo just performed ā€œThong Songā€ at his wedding reception in St. Paul. And it was fantastic."

Check out his tweets below.

Though no footage of the performance has surfaced (yet), The Baltimore Sun obtained a fitting statement from the singer himself:

ā€œI initially sang ā€˜Thong Songā€™ about the first thong that I ever saw, so it was only right to sing it about the last one I will ever seeā€¦ in private, that is,ā€ Sisqo stated in an email to The Baltimore Sun, with directions to ā€œinsert wink.ā€

The outlet also reported that aside from the immortal ode to panties, Sisqo and fellow members of R&B group Dru Hill serenaded the bride with their song ā€œBeauty,ā€ and Pham and her bridesmaids did a dance routine to a compilation of Beyonce tracks. The bride and groom also danced together to ā€œSpend My Life With Youā€ by Eric Benet and Tamia. Oh, to have been a guest at that wedding.
