Will Smith's not a regular dad he's a cool dad who just so happens to be living his best life.

To celebrate his 50th birthday, Will didn't just throw a regular degular birthday party. Oh no, he instead threw himself out of a helicopter into the Grand Canyon. Yes, he actually threw himself out of a helicopter into the freaking Grand Canyon. (Had to repeat that just in case you missed it)

Will's helicopter bungee jump was six months in the making. After such a build-up — he constantly talked about the jump on his Instagram — Will decided to air the entire thing live on his YouTube Channel on Tuesday (September 25). The Bright star's 1000-foot jump was hosted by his friend and former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air co-star Alfonso Ribeiro. Also in attendance were Will's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, and their children, Jaden, Willow, and Trey Smith

Before the jump, Will admitted that he was facing one of his greatest fears. Despite the nerves, and having to push past his comfort zone, WIll ultimately made the jump. “Nothing will ever be scarier than that," he told his family after his jump. "It goes from complete, absolute terror to the most magnificent bliss you’ve ever felt in your life.”

As for why he chose the Grand Canyon. Well, Will says he and the historic location go way back.

"I’ve had an interesting relationship with fear my whole life,'' he said on the live stream. "We drove to the Grand Canyon (when I was younger), and I remember having a deeply meaningful experience of how beautiful it was, but I was terrified of walking to the edge."

"All my family walked up to the edge but I stayed back, too scared to take in the beauty," he added. "I’ve made it a point in my life to attack anything that I’m scared of."
