John Legend is often the subject of Chrissy Teigen’s humor, and Tuesday (Dec. 19) was no exception.
The “All of Me” singer announced on Twitter his upcoming gig as Jesus Christ in NBC’s 2018 live production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Teigen immediately replied with the hard hitting question, “How are they gonna fit u in the manger?”
Legend had the perfect reply to match his wife’s wit. He referenced the many photos the singer has seen of fans’ babies who resemble him.
One notable doppelgänger was the baby who went viral in July, and even caught Teigen’s attention to the point where she begged her followers to stop sending the photos to her.
Maybe there’s a chance that the baby in the manger position could be filled by the couple’s second child, a boy, due in 2018. The truth will be revealed on Easter Sunday, when Jesus Christ Superstar airs.
