Fivio Foreign Arrested For Assault In New Jersey

Fivio Foreign has been arrested for assault in New Jersey.

The Brooklyn rapper, whose real name is Maxie Ryles, was booked on Saturday (October 10) on charges of simple assault and knowingly causing body injury to another person, according to HipHopDX.

Among the first to share the news of Fivio’s arrest was hip-hop satirist DJ Akademiks, who took to social media with inmate records from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office. While not much is known about the arrest, the records show the “Spicy” star has not yet been granted bail and currently remains behind bars at the Bergen County Jail.

The arrest couldn’t have had more unfortunate timing for the rising rapper, who has come a long way since blowing up with his 2019 song “Big Drip,” which later received the remix treatment from fellow rappers Lil Baby and Quavo. Then, earlier this year, the 24-year-old lyricist went on to link up with Drake on a joint titled “Demons,” which debuted on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart at No. 34. Weeks later, Fivio followed up the track with “Zoo York” featuring Lil Tjay and late rapper Pop Smoke.

To date, Fivio has put out two extended plays, Pain and Love (2019) and April's 800 B.C.
