Kris Jenner Admits To Being 'Concerned' About Son-In-Law Kanye West

Even Kris Jenner has her concerns about her son-in-law Kanye West's recent behavior.

While chatting with Ellen Degeneres on The Ellen Show, airing Friday (October 26), the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch opened about Kanye's recent visit to the White House, his current mental state, and what she's doing to "support" him.

"Kanye is an amazing son-in-law. He’s an amazing dad and husband and friend and brother-in-law, and so we know my son-in-law Kanye. My job as a mom is just to be there for my kids and be supportive and love them," she said. "You can’t control what somebody else is doing. I can’t always control what any of them do at any time, but I think what I really want to do is be there to help him and be the best version of himself that he can be. He knows that we’re there if he needs us." Adding, You're always concerned when there's controversy and drama and things are going on and it's sometimes worrisome... I just want to be there and be supportive and be there if he needs me."

Ellen then said that the public, herself included, is "seeing a different side of him." She noted the "I Love It" rapper's recent visit with Donald Trump — where he went on a ten-minute pro-Trump rant about abolishing the 13th amendment, making America Great Again, prison reform, being off of his bi-polar medication, Air Force One, and much more — as a reference.

"It was very spontaneous," Kris admitted. "When they got to [talking] about [Kanye's ideas for Trump's Presidential] airplane that [was] so Kanye. He was sharing thoughts and things of himself. But I would rather he share some of that stuff privately," she said. "Obviously, [that] would be great, but I have to able to show him that I'm here if he needs me. We're all here if he needs us." Kris continued: "He definitely has his own thoughts and opinions and he gets very excited about that...He does have different sides to him and this is a side nobody's seen before."

"I want to be supportive too," Ellen responded. "He's in a very vulnerable state right now, I think. I think he needs help..." Kris then admitted that while it is "a lot," "Kim always said, 'I can’t control what somebody else does,' and I feel the same way. It’s really hard. You all know if you have kids and they might have a totally different opinion about something or a different view about something," Kris shared. "And here’s a very strong [person], he’s very opinionated and he has a big voice. He has a lot to say."
