Frank Ocean Hints At a New Album

Is Frank Ocean sitting on a completed new album? The enigmatic R&B star hinted as much when he posted a 13-word statement overnight on his Tumblr page: “I made the album before 30. I just aint put that bitch out!” If that wasn’t tantalizing enough, he explained the sentences as “quotes from an interview I haven’t given.” Ocean turned 30 last month, so his comment suggests he’s got a new record ready to go.

The New Orleans-born singer tends to do things at his own pace -- and keep the rest of us guessing. He went quiet in the years after his critically-lauded 2012 debut Channel Orange, then hit his straps in a big way with the release of two full-length sets in as many days in August 2016, the visual album Endless and the Billboard 200 leader Blonde.

A new album shouldn’t be a shock, considering Ocean has shared a string of new works this year from “Chanel” to “Biking,” “Provider” and “Lens” and he guested on the Calvin Harris track “Slide.” Earlier this week, Ocean began offering physical copies of Endless on his blonded.co web store.
