WATCH: Bridge Collapses Feet Away From Reporter Amid Deadly Flood

North Carolina was once again hit by a deadly storm this week.

Tropical Storm Eta brought torrential downpours and up to 10 inches of rain on roadways Thursday, killing at least seven individuals and leaving two missing in Alexander and Iredell counties, DailyMail reports. The Tar Heel State was hit hard by heavy rain making its way from Florida and leaving behind a combination of tropical moisture and a cold front to produce flash flooding.

FOX 46 reporter Amber Roberts and her photographer Jon Monte were live at the scene when a road on a bridge collapsed just feet away from them.

"I am SO #thankful me and my @FOX46News #photojournalist, @JoeMonteFOX46 are okay," Roberts shared with the clip of the incident on her Twitter account Thursday. "I'm sending #prayers to the people of #Alexander #County impacted by today's #flooding."

The Wake County Sheriff's Office announced it had discovered the body of an 11-year-old child in Rolesville on Thursday following a report of a drowning. Witnesses believe the child was playing near an overflowed creek when the accident occurred.

Three other bodies were found at Hiddenite Family Campground in Alexander County while authorities evacuated 33 people after the South Yadkin River overflowed, according to a news release on the Alexander County government's website. A camper was initially found and authorities later discovered an adult and a 1-year-old child after continuing to search the area.

An individual was also pronounced dead at the scene near Hopewell Church Road after crashing their car due to a bridge outage and high water. Two other individuals were also reportedly killed in a similar crash in Alexander County, the New York Times reports.
