Ice-T is just like the rest of us and he was reminded of that the hard way when he blew through a bridge toll heading into New York City.
As per a new report from TMZ, the Law & Order: SVU star was busted and arrested by Port Authority police on Wednesday morning (October 24) for toll evasion as he was approaching the George Washington Bridge on the New Jersey side. Sources close to the situation revealed that he tried crossing into the E-ZPass lane, which is exclusively for drivers who prepay tolls with a transmitter, but the tactic just didn't work. Once authorities discovered that his brand-new McLaren sports car wasn't registered, they arrested him for evading the toll and gave him a ticket for the unregistered vehicle.
Later on, Ice-T told the celebrity gossip outlet that he simply forgot to bring his E-ZPass with him. He explained that he has seven of them in his other vehicles but didn't have it in his new whip, which was just shipped from California. Immediately after being released, he went straight to work on the set of Law & Order because that's exactly how any of us normal folks would handle our day.
