Cardi B took time out from breaking chart records to have a chat and a laugh with Jimmy Fallon.
The high-flying hip-hop star was all charm when she dropped by The Tonight Show studios Wednesday night. Cardi totally disarmed her host and she didn’t need support from a backing band.
Fallon couldn’t keep a straight face as his guest explained the origins of her name, flashed her engagement ring from Offset and told of how her success directly correlates with the number of folks wanting her as the godmother to their children.
Cardi B is already the owner of an impressive chart record. Her first three entries cracked the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 -- a first for a female emcee -- and she could extend the streak when her new single “Bartier Bardi,” featuring 21 Savage, arrives this Friday.
