2020 AMAs: Katy Perry To Perform First Awards Show Since Giving Birth

Katy Perry is performing at the 2020 American Music Awards!

ABC and dick clark productions has confirmed the “Teenage Dream” musician will be performing a world premiere broadcast performance of her new song, “Only Love,” during the upcoming awards show. According to a press release, the 36-year-old will hit the AMAs stage on Sunday, November 22, to spread a message of love and unity to her fans.

Perry's song appears on her sixth studio album, Smile, also features catchy singles like “Daisies," "Smile" and "Champagne Problems."

The performance will mark one of Perry’s first major music events since becoming a new mom in September after giving birth to her daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, with fiancé Orlando Bloom in August. This will also be the singer's first AMAs performance in seven years since she graced the stage back in 2013 to deliver her song "Unconditionally."

The five-time AMA winner joins an impressive roster of performing artists at this year’s event including Megan Thee Stallion, Shawn Mendes, Lil Baby, Bad Bunny, Jhay Cortez, Dua Lipa, BTS, Maluma, Jennifer Lopez, and Billie Eilish.

Lil Baby, making his AMAs debut, will deliver a live performance of his smash hit "Emotionally Scarred." Mendes is expected to give a world premiere performance during the show, which will also see Eilish live-debuting her brand-new single, “Therefore I Am,” and Lopez and Maluma perform their two collaborations, “Pa’ Ti” and “Lonely.”

The 2020 AMAs will air live from The Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles on November 22 at 8 p.m. EST.
