Former Eminem Producers To Sell Portion Of Rapper's Royalties

If you ever wanted to invest in shares of Eminem's catalog, this is your opportunity as every song he has ever released from 1999 to 2013 will soon be available on an exchange much like the stock market, Rolling Stone magazine reported.

Funky Bass Team also known as FBT Productions signed Slim Shady years before he became a hip-hop heavyweight and is said to auction portions of his future royalties in October to a new subsidiary company of the online music-rights marketplace. It's called Royalty Flow and will be one of the first ways that fans can invest in their favorite acts and their catalogs.

"If you own any Apple stocks, for instance, it's exactly the same," Matthew Smith, head of Royalty Exchange, the Denver company running the auction, told Rolling Stone. "Not only do you potentially get to earn along with Eminem's catalog, but you also win the ultimate bragging rights to say 'hey, I own that!' anytime you hear one of his songs."

Meanwhile, Em has no involvement with the sale as his rep said he was "not consulted" in regards to the investment package. In an exclusive statement to the magazine, his rep said that "Eminem is not involved in any deals for the sale of recording royalties and has no connection to this company."
