'Talladega Nights' Actor Houston Tumlin Dead At 28

Talladega Nights actor Houston Tumlin, who played the younger Walker Bobby in the 2006 film, has died by suicide, as per TMZ. He was 28.

According to the report, Tumlin was a resident of Pelham, Alabama and took his own life with a gunshot to the head on Tuesday (March 23) at 4:30 PM, per Shelby County Coroner Lina Evans. No letter or indication of intended suicide was found at the scene, but his girlfriend was inside the residence at the time of his death. Tumlin's role in Talladega Nights is his only acting credit to-date. As an adult, he went on to enlist and serve in the Army's 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell.

Not much is known about Tumlin aside from hearsay, but one user on Twitter claimed to have been in the Army with him. "SGT Houston Tumlin came to me as PVT Tumlin," the user wrote. "He showed a lot of spirit, promise, positive energy and was (hands down) one of my best Soldiers in my company. Came ready to work. Please check on each other. Get help if you need it. We need you."
