'Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' Actress Galyn Görg Dead At 55

Galyn Görg has has died.

The dancer and actress, who appeared in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Robocop 2, passed away on Tuesday (July 14) at the age of 55.

"Our beautiful Galyn has crossed over. She quietly fought a good fight but unfortunately passed away 1 day before her birthday 6/14/2020 in Hawaii to cancer," Galyn's rep, Sheila Legette, told E! News in a statement. "Galyn had been very private about her battle with cancer the last 9 months. But remained positive and continued to enjoy life in Hawaii. She loved the ocean and was an amazing dancer as well as a talented actress."

"Her heart was of silver and gold and her energy and presence brightened any room she entered. She was love and light," the statement continued. "Galyn was a beautiful soul who loved life, art, dance and was a phenomenal Woman. She was not only a client but a good friend who will be missed beyond measure."

While one of Galyn's most memorable roles was a boxer by the name of Angie who infamously knocked out Will Smith in a 1996 episode of "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," she also appeared in a slew of other TV shows and films throughout her career including, Twin Peaks, A Different World, Star Trek: Voyager, Parks and Recreation and How to Get Away With Murder.

A GoFundMe has been set up by one of Galyn's family members, Sekaya Verburg, who's asking for donations to assist with the cost of the late actress' funeral.

"Galyn Gorg was and is huge part of our family, she means so much to every one of us," the fundraiser's description read. "After remaining optimistic and praying for a miracle, she has sadly passed. We were unaware of just how sick she was as the diagnosis was a shock to the entire family."
