Amanda Bynes Back With Ex-Fiance After Refusing Psychiatric Treatment

Amanda Bynes is seemingly back with her ex-fiance Paul Michael.

Just a day after their breakup made headlines, the retired actress and her former “lover” appear to reconciled. Bynes, who abruptly scrubbed her social media of all pics and videos with Michael over the weekend, reunited with the 28-year-old in a selfie she posted via Instagram on Monday (March 9), referring to him as “my love.”

As of Sunday (March 8), it was reported that the Nickelodeon alum and Michael had split three weeks after announcing their engagement on Valentine’s Day. “We did,” Michael supposedly confirmed to In Touch, per Us Weekly. “I love her though, she’s my best friend.”

Bynes apparently kept her relationship status a secret from her parents, including mother Lynn, who is the Easy A star’s conservator and presumably behind the reason the duo called off their engagement. According to sources close to the star, Lynn was blindsided by her daughter’s engagement, which may have prompted her to request the 33-year-old “remain in a controlled environment” amid Bynes’ recent conservatorship hearing last week.

As previously reported, the couple and Bynes’ parents all met with a judge last Thursday (March 5) to discuss the case as well as Bynes’ mental state. In the end, the She’s the Man star was ordered to be placed into a psychiatric facility. Although Bynes initially agreed to these terms, when it was time to check herself into the live-in facility, she was nowhere to be found. As of now, she’s refusing to cooperate and it’s unclear what will transpire next if she doesn’t come around.

What’s more, The Blast reports that Michael “freaked out” after the hearing. This prompted him to initiate the breakup so as not to get involved in the case in a way that would get him or Bynes in trouble with the judge, and also prevent him from being made culpable for his ex-fiancee’s mental state.
