Destiny's Child Reportedly Planning A Reunion — Get All The Details

Destiny's Child is reportedly planning a reunion tour!

According to The Sun, Beyoncé has been secretly working on getting the iconic girl group, formed in 1997, back together and Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams are already on board. "Beyonce has been desperate to get the girls back together with her in the studio and she can’t think of a better time than 2020, when they will be marking two decades as one of the world’s biggest all-female groups," an insider told the British outlet. "She saw the success of the Spice Girls tour and wants to replicate that — but far bigger and better."

As fans know, the timing of the alleged reunion coincides with the 20th anniversary of the girl group's second studio album, Writing's On The Wall, which produced some of their biggest hits, including, "Bills, Bills, Bills, "Say My Name," "Bug a Boo" and "Jumpin' Jumpin." The album also marks the group's last project as a quartet as Michelle replaced original group members LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett in 2000, turning Destiny's Child into a trio.

"Beyonce has been meeting with Kelly and Michelle and discussing what they can do," the source continued. "It’s early days but they want to record new music and put it out alongside some of their biggest hits. Then they want to do a tour which will be short enough for them to fit it into their schedules, but big enough to make sure all their fans can make a date to see them. As well as going around the US they want to play dates in Europe, including the UK."

As fans know, the last time the ladies came back together was in 2017 when they surprised fans during Bey's headlining Coachella set, nearly breaking the Internet. "They are one of the very few groups where love for them has only grown since they went on hiatus in 2006, so the demand is massive," the insider concluded.
