Tyga Says He's Not in Love with Kylie Jenner Anymore

Tyga stopped by The Breakfast Club and spoke candidly about his relationship with Kylie Jenner. The two broke up earlier this year, however, they were one of the internet's most buzzed about couples. Part of the reason fans of both Kylie and Tyga became so fixated with the pair was due to their eight year age difference, as well as the rumors that the couple got together before Kylie turned eighteen. Things only got more interesting, of course, after Tyga's baby mama Blac Chyna got with Kylie's older brother Rob Kardashian. It seems, though, that Tyga has decided to leave all that drama behind him because he said he's really, truly so over Kylie.

"It's not a losing thing. When you make a decision to not be in a relationship with somebody, y'all just make that decision and y'all just split ways," Tyga said of the relationship's end, hinting that it really wasn't a dramatic affair. "I have love for her, but I'm not in love no more."

When pressed about the time Kanye West said that Tyga and Kylie were in love, Tyga explained that it was just the honeymoon stage for the former couple. He said that the first year for all couples is "magic, but after that you start realizing a bunch of shit." The 27-year-old rapper insisted that it wasn't anything crazy that drove them apart, but that it was simply a split that any couple could have had. He cited "outside influences," as well as their age difference as to what ultimately drove them to part ways.

Tyga also opened up about what it was like to be a part of the Kardashian - Jenner lifestyle. While he realized it ultimately wasn't for him, he defended Kylie and said it wasn't always easy for her, either. "Growing up how she grew up, it's like, image perception was everything." Tyga explained. "You got a bunch of people pulling from you and you're still trying to develop as a woman, you know what I mean?"

Tyga also credits himself with some of Kylie's success. "I knew she had a lot of potential. I feel like I was put in that position to help her," he explained. "Before I got with her, people in the urban world weren't talking about her." He thinks she helped him, as well, to make it in mainstream pop culture.
