Eminem Under Fire For Using Homophobic Slur on New Album

Eminem is no stranger to being in the headlines for doing something controversial, but the social climate of 2018 is much different than that of 2000 when he dropped The Marshall Mathers LP

Though he was scorned for lyrics that advocated things like violence towards women and homophobia when that record came out, he would have been straight up pushed out of the music industry today. However, that didn't stop him from dropping the "f" word on his surprise release, Kamikaze

On the Bon Iver-assisted 10th track, "Fall," the rapper used an anti-gay slur while taking a shot at Tyler, The Creator. "Tyler create nothin', I see why you called yourself a f****t, bitch," he raps, self-censoring himself saying the word.

The shade is in response to Tyler's criticism of 2014's ShadyXV, when he said, "I love you Marshall, you are my favorite rapper but dude ShadyXV is f**king ASS hahaha why wont someone who loves him tell him NO."

The "Who Dat Boy" emcee isn't the only person Slim Shady disses on the album, also taking shots at Lil PumpLil YachtyLil XanMachine Gun Kelly, DrakeCharlamagne tha GodDJ AkademiksJoe BuddenDonald TrumpMike Pence, and The Grammy Awards.

The last time Eminem deployed the slur was on the 2013 single "Rap God;" however, he's repeatedly denied homophobia allegations, including during a 2013 interview with Rolling Stone.
