Rihanna Once Refused To Rock Cardi B's 'Ghetto' Gloves For 'Vogue'

Cardi B turned heads with her gold-covered artwork for her new single, "Money," which included Christian Cowan jewel-encrusted gloves on both arms. While they're certainly lavish pieces, the accessories didn't really catch Rihanna's eye when the pop titan was browsing for clothing alongside British Vogue's editor-in-chief Edward Enniful earlier this year.

In a behind-the-scenes montage for her September cover story, which was uploaded in August, Rih is seen looking over options for the high-profile shoot and that's when she comes across the very same gloves. "I can't. This is the most ghetto sh*t I've ever seen in my life," she tells Enniful. Scroll on below to see the moment unfold at the 2:21 mark below. While the pieces may not have been for the Bad Gal, the rapper's choice of accessories remained appropriate since the context of her single revolves around good ol' fashioned cash.

Rihanna and Cardi were rumored to be in some beef after the Bardi's high-profile altercation with Nicki Minaj during NYFW. After the shoe-throwing incident seen around the world, it was reported that Rihanna uninvited the rapper to her annual Diamond Ball and unfollowed her from social media. "Those celebrities weren't even following me," she told fans on Instagram Live after the report spread across the blogosphere. "Why can't y'all just stop making rumors trying to make me look like I'm just over. When my time is over, you will see that my time is over."
