The Brooklyn based educator writes on her website, "I am adamant about revolutionizing literacy, in communities that are in dire need for something different." Instead of using the same tired teaching materials that schools unsuccessfully use to educate their kids, Erica is using hip hop as a vehicle to grab their attention to instruct them.
One question remains, where did she learn to spit like that? Turns out she used to be a rapper herself.
