At L.A. Mural, Only Influencers and Verified Profiles Allowed to Take Photo

Get ready to take the most exclusive selfie ever.

A new security-guarded mural has become the latest hot spot in the City of Angels for the social media famous who are looking to take the perfect photo.

But, there's a catch - if you want to do it for the 'gram, you'll need to be social media famous to do it.   Security checks your account to make sure you have a verified check next to your Twitter name, or at least 20,000 followers before you're allowed to enter.

Being verified on Twitter or Instagram means your account has been deemed important enough to have that little blue verified badge next to your handle. Generally, accounts are verified when they are determined to be an account of public interest. That includes accounts maintained by people in music, journalism, acting, government, media, and other 'key interest areas.'

The private mural asks the social media famous to tag their profile @likeandsubscribe on Instagram, which had fewer than 1,000 as of this writing. Their Twitter account is doing slightly better, with just shy of 8,000 Tuesday morning.

If you want to check it out for yourself (and maybe grab a photo if you qualify), you can head on down to 7753 Melrose Ave in Los Angeles. The mural is scheduled to be up through June 27th, but, you're going to want to act quickly before it's vandalized.

Anyone that does not have more than 20k followers on a social media account or a verified check have to wait outside.

Organizers say the mural may be opened to the public at some point in the future.
