Rihanna's Instagram was a sight to see when the pop titan shared some rare shots alongside her parents on Monday night (August 27), where she is rumored to be in Barbados.
In the two shots, the 30-year-old chart-topper poses makeup-free as she offers the camera a wide grin next to her mother, Monica, and father, Ronald. No word on the reason for the reunion, but the caption did all the talking. "Home," she wrote on the post of the trio. While Rihanna's relationship with her mother has always been put on display, her ties with her father have been a little more intense. Back in 2012, she told Oprah that she had to make peace with her abusive father before she could forgive Chris Brown for the infamous 2009 assault. "I repaired my relationship with my dad. I was so angry at him. I witnessed a lot as a child in my household," she said at the time.
Rihanna was recently spotted in Cuba alongside Donald Glover after word spread that the two stars were filming for a Hiro Murai-directed film called Guava Island. According to the Cuban publication Vistar magazine, Letitia Wright and Nonso Anozie will also star in the forthcoming project.
Meanwhile, the Navy also has a new documentary styled after the 1967 Bob Dylan film Don't Look Back to look forward to. After confirming the project in 2016, Battleship director Peter Berg admitted that it's set to drop "in about a month and half, two months." "It really is kind of a pretty comprehensive profile of what goes in to making her this talent that she is," he told SlashFilm.
