Lamborghini Vs Power Pole: Officers Find Car Hanging 6 Feet Above Ground

The owner of a red Lamborghini is facing some serious repair bills after they crashed the car into a power pole in East Sacramento over the weekend.

California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers responded to a report of a traffic collision involving a solo-vehicle and a power pole, reports CBS13.

When officers arrived, they found the exotic car hoisted up onto a power pole guy wire.

The red Lamborghini had driven almost halfway up the wire so that their front wheels were suspended over six feet in the air.

According to CBS13, the driver was still seated inside the vehicle when officers arrived.

"Luckily the driver and passenger did not sustain serious injuries," wrote East Sacramento CHP in a Facebook post. "As we have said in the past, driving safely and at a reasonable speed could have prevented this collision."

After the crash, the car damaged its bumper, lost its left-front tire, and its airbags were deployed, reports CBS13.

The moments leading up to the crash were not revealed but the East Sacramento CHP did warn residents against speeding.

"Regardless of how good of a driver you are or what your vehicle is capable of, there are still unknown hazards that can arise and speeding will only make it more difficult to avoid those potential hazards," they wrote. "The few seconds or minutes you save by speeding aren’t worth yours or everyone else’s safety!"
