Kalie Shorr Says Coronavirus Test Is Almost As Bad As Having The Virus

Kalie Shorr shared on her social media pages that she tested positive for the coronavirus despite being self-quarantined for the last few weeks. She came on The Bobby Bones Show to talk about how she's feeling and what the coronavirus made her feel like when she was in the midst of it.

Bobby Bones asked her how she's feeling now, and she says she is much better now than she was a few days ago. She said she wasn't prepared to have it happen. A week ago, she says she woke up and felt totally fine and was already self-quarantining. Then during the middle of the day she felt like she had been hit by a truck, she decided to take a nap and woke up having a fever. After trying to sleep it off again, she woke up with a fever over 100 and had the "worst body aches of her life." That's when she decided to go get tested for the coronavirus and it came back positive.

Shorr said the testing situation is almost as awful as the illness itself. She went to Vanderbilt Urgent Care in Nashville and she was in and out within 45 minutes. The giant q-tip that had to go into her nose and touch her brain gave her a bloody nose. She says the worst part was waiting for the test results to get back because she was already in recovery by the time she got the results back.

Even despite her self-quarantining, Shorr thinks she may have gotten it from the CMT Telethon for the Nashville tornado. That was the only time she had been in contact with a person who tested positive for the virus, but even then she never interacted with them directly. That was the only person she saw within a two-week period that was positive for the virus. Even worse, both of her roommates ended up also being positive for coronavirus at the same time, but they're unsure how they all got it collectively.
