BTS Announces New Single 'Lights': Get The Details

BTS will release a new single called "Lights" in roughly two months when the Japanese-language track is matched up with Japanese versions of the previously released songs "Boy With Luv" and "IDOL" for a CD/DVD release.

News of V, J-Hope, RM, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, and Suga's upcoming venture arrived on Thursday (May 9) and detailed the group's first new Japanese song in four years. It's set to be accompanied by a music video and "conveys the message of hope that one can connect with the others through sounds and see each other's lights whenever they close their eyes." While the digital release will arrive on July 3 in Japan, the Stateside release should arrive by July 2. Come July 5, the physical editions of "Lights" will also drop.

To make the release even more special, BTS have packaged the bundle in three different variations. While they'll all include the same CD with the three tracks, they'll each offer something different for the BTS ARMY. Limited Edition A will come with a DVD featuring music videos for "Lights" and "IDOL." Limited Edition B will include a DVD with "making of" segments about the “Lights" video and jacket photos. Meanwhile, Limited Edition C will include a DVD with the same content as the aforementioned DVDs, as well as a 36-page booklet.

In the meantime, the K-pop sensation is currently making the rounds across the globe with their "Love Yourself: Speak Yourself Tour." Next up for the chart-topping group are two Chicago shows at Soldier Field this weekend. Click here for more information on the trek!
