Manifee, CA - Singer Songwriter Benny Mardones has diedafter a long struggle with Parkinson's disease.
Mardones who became a musical fixture in Syracuse and Central New York skyrocketed to the top of the musical charts with his hit single "Into the Night" in the 80's.
Although that single was a big success Mardones was never able to quit duplicate it.
However he continued to leave his mark on the music scene, and the hearts of his fans.
Mardones was living in Menifee CA at the time of his death. He was 73.
