Solange Announces Hurricane Harvey Relief Concerts

Solange is putting her money where her mouth is in an effort to help out residents of her hometown who've been effected by Hurricane Harvey.

On Wednesday (Aug. 30), the singer/songwriter/producer announced that she's planning a benefit concert in Boston at the city's Orpheum Theater on Sept. 28. Solange said that all proceedings will be going directly to "Hurricane Harvey Relief." In an Instagram speaking about this upcoming show, Solange explained this move.

"I will be doing a special 'Orions Rise' show in Boston, and ALL proceeds will go towards Hurricane Harvey Relief. I'm committed to partnering with organizations on the ground in Houston and making contributions to uplift the city that raised me with so much love," she said. "See you September 28th Boston, I thank you in advance for making this a special meaningful night !" See that post below.

Moreover, after Solange learned that her upcoming "Orions Rise" concerts in Radio City Music Hall and The Kennedy Center in NYC, and Greek Theater in Berkley, California were sold out; the star decided to add another show in Houston on Oct. 3 where $3 of every ticket sale will go to Hurricane Harvey Relief, too. Solange joins her sister, Beyoncรฉ, and a number of other celebrities who are lending a helping hand to Texas residents in need, during this difficult time.
